Mr. Sjoberg was born Feb. 7,1867 in Oland, Sweden and came to Manistique in 1887. In 1894 he was married in Manistique to Miss Augusta Dacklin. He retired from employment at the Michigan Dimension company in 1938. Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Henry Larson, Mrs. Otis Nelson and Mrs. Leonard Walters, all of Manistique; 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers, all grandchildren, were: Denton, Justin, Paul Gilbert and Wallace Nelson and William Jessick

Mrs. Larson was born December 18,1898 in Manistique and had spent most of her life here. She was married to Brady Nelson in Manistique September 7,1918. He died in May of 1932. She married Henry Larson on April 1,1938 and he died July 19,1957. Survivors include four sons: Gilbert Nelson of Englewood, Fla., Harley Nelson of Manistique; Wallace Nelson of Engle wood, Fla.; Gerald Larson of Manistique. Two daughters: Mrs. Ray (Louis) Ramsden of Escanaba; Mrs. Dennis (Geraldine) Hugo of Manistique. Two sisters: Mrs. Otis (Bernita) Nelson and Mrs. Leonard (Linda) Walters of Manistique. 17 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Larson was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, the Kings Daughters of the church and the Mission Circle. (Källa: Find A Grave)

Mrs. Otis Nelson, 32, passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning at the family home, 546 Delta avenue. Death was due to complications which followed the birth of a son fourteen days ago. Mrs. Nelson was born Anna Evelyn Sjoberg on February 25, 1903 in this city and is wel1 known here. She was married ten years ago in Escanaba to Otis Nel- son who survives her. Since that time the family home was at Negaunee over six years and at Rapid River for three years. Since last November the home has been in Manistique. The body was taken to the Gunnarson and Kefauver funeral home to be prepared for burial and will be returned to the family home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed but the services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Either Rev. F. Elmgren of this city or Rev. John Hugo of Escanaba will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Calvary Baptist church of Escanaba. She is survived by her husband and four sons and two daughters. They are Denton, Norma. Justin, Betty Jean, Paul and an infant son 14 days old. Her mother and father, Mr.and Mrs. John Sjoberg of this city also survive as so the following sisters: Mrs. Lilly Nelson, Bernita Sjoberg. Esther Jessick, 33, lifelong resident of Manistique, died at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient for two days. She had been seriously ill for the past month. Mrs. Jessick, who before her marriage was Esther Mabel Sjoberg, was born April l9, 1910, in Manistique and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist church. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Donald: 13; Jack, ll; Billy, 10; one daughter, Laura, 11; her father, John Sjoberg; and three sisters, Mrs. Otis Nelson, Mrs. Leonard Walters and Mrs. Henry Larson, all of Manistique. The body was prepared for burial at the Anderson funeral home in Escanaba, and was removed to the residence of Mrs. George Morton, Arbutus avenue, Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Morton home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and burial was in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were William Jensen, Arthur Derochey, Joseph Gregurash, Frank Gregurash, Arthur Hough and Lauritz Hough. (Källa: Find A Grave)
