David was born in El Monte, California, the son of William and Lorene Irvine. He was the brother to JoAnn, William Jr., Lois and George. David married Masha Cross and their two sons were John Michael and David Quinten Jr. On June 12, 1971 David married Geraldine (Gerri) Gebert at St. John Lutheran Church Prairie Hill in Brenham, Texas and their children were D'Ann Gordon and Richard David. David and Gerri lived in Santee, California before moving to the Brenham area and then to Houston, Texas. David's entire career was in construction, including home and warehouse building and eventually specializing in tennis courts. His work took him to various areas of the United States including Hawaii and Mississippi. David served in the U. S. Army. He died at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston from complications of heart disease.
