Året därefter flyttade hustrun Katarina 1888 tillsammans med de tre döttrarna.Jonas Olaf Young, for the past thirteen years a resident of Terry and Prairie county, passed away at the Terry hospital at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon after an illness of more than a week, death having come at the advanced age of 74 years, ten months and thirteen days. The deceased was born in Sweden, January 2, 1854, where he remained until he reached manhood, and following his marriage, came to America with his bride, and settled at Park City, Utah in the early eighties remaining there until coming to eastern Montana in 1913, making his home here since that time. For many years he was a member of the Maccabees lodge, and held a life membership. The deceased was born in Sweden on January 2, 1852, remaining there until he reached manhood, when, following his marriage to Miss Caren [Karin] Edfors, who is still living with her daughters in Los Angeles, came to America and located at Park City, Utah, where they made their home for many years. This union was blessed with ten children, of whom seven survive. The children are N.J. Young and P.E. Young of Terry, who were with their father when the end came. Mrs. Chris Gjording, of Glenns Ferry Idaho, Mrs. M. F. Curran of Odgen, Utah, and Mrs. Geo. Dunning, Mrs. Clyde Haynes and Miss Vivian Young all of Los Angeles, California. Meeker officiating, and interment was in the Terry cemetery, west of town. A large number of friends and acquaintances attended the rites, and accompanied the body on its last pilgrimage.Mr. Young had been ailing for more than a week with illnesses induced large by his advanced age but the deceased had been up and about until about ten days before his death, when his condition became such that he was taken to the hospital, where every comfort and aid was given in hopes that his illness would be only temporary, and where his chances of recovery would be strengthened. Besides his children, the deceased leaves a number of grandchildren and a host of friends who are saddened by the death of the kindly and courteous gentleman they had learned to respect and revere, and with them the Tribune joins in extending condolences to the bereaved members of the family.
