Esther Jessick, 33, lifelong resident of Manistique, died at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient for two days. She had been seriously ill for the past month. Mrs. Jessick, who before her marriage was Esther Mabel Sjoberg, was born April l9, 1910, in Manistique and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist church. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Donald: 13; Jack, ll; Billy, 10; one daughter, Laura, 11; her father, John Sjoberg; and three sisters, Mrs. Otis Nelson, Mrs. Leonard Walters and Mrs. Henry Larson, all of Manistique. The body was prepared for burial at the Anderson funeral home in Escanaba, and was removed to the residence of Mrs. George Morton, Arbutus avenue, Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Morton home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and burial was in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were William Jensen, Arthur Derochey, Joseph Gregurash, Frank Gregurash, Arthur Hough and Lauritz Hough. (Källa: Find A Grave)
